Whole House Filtration
What is not to like about whole house water filtration. Get rid of the chlorine and chemicals from throughout your house. Think about it. Not only do you never have to buy bottled water again but you can shower and take baths and brush your teeth in clean water. Your coffee and tea will taste better. Your cleaning products will work better saving you time and money throughout your house.
When we do whole house filtration at DougtheWaterMan.com we want it to fit the needs of the individuals. We do not believe in one size fits all. We build several different systems and with several options. We only utilize top of the line equipment and proven technology. In some areas you need a water softener but not in all areas. The Northwest Florida area actually has mostly soft water so in this area we normally do not recommend the use of softeners unless you are trying to get rid of iron stains from sprinklers. If you are in an area that needs a water softener we offer our custom built softeners for your specific area. We even offer salt free softeners so you can have the kind of water you want without polluting the environment or getting salt in your drinking water.
When we treat city water we normally use a Vortech tank with KDF and carbon. Our system is salt free and for the most part maintenance free. The Vortech tank is very important because it keeps our media separate and allows each of the media to do it's job.
Below is our basic city system set up. We often couple this with reverse osmosis, a Berkey system or even add a UV disinfection system. Why a UV you might ask? Well, with all the boil water alerts and the opportunity for bacteria to enter even a city water drinking system it makes sense to more and more people now days.
This is a total salt free system!!!!!!
This is an actual install on the exterior
of a home in Freeport, Florida. We
can also install in the garage areas due
to our temperate climate.
Of course, it will be back filled to cover the lower pipes but this just shows how easy it really is to install. We put our system about 2' in the ground in case of frost and to give it more protection against the elements.
Our systems actually treat the water instead of just trying to soften. our approach is to get as many chemicals out as possible. If you want the maximum removal we can also add a reverse osmosis and or a UV treatment system.
Our well systems will still employ the Vortech tank but the medias will be based on what is actually needed to treat your specific well.
Beware of anyone that tells you that one size fits all or that they can treat your well without it being tested.
If you have had your well tested and want information on treating it you can also email the test results and we will offer our recommendations. As always we never charge anyone to give them a quote and we will work hard to earn your business.
